7 lessons on Wisdom

Here are 7 lessons on wisdom by Stephen S. Hall: 1. Seek understanding, not just knowledge: Knowledge is important, but wisdom goes beyond knowing facts and figures. It involves understanding the deeper meaning of things, seeing the connections between different aspects of life, and appreciating the nuances of complex situations. 2. Embrace uncertainty and ambiguity: Life is full of uncertainties, and trying to control everything will only lead to frustration and anxiety. Wisdom lies in accepting the ambiguity of life and learning to navigate through it with flexibility and resilience. 3. Empathize with others, put yourself in their shoes, and understand their perspectives. Compassion allows you to respond to others' suffering with kindness and understanding. 4. 10 Rules of Ikigai to Help You Live a Long and Happy Life 1. Take is Slow: Being in a hurry is inversely proportional to quality of life. Just take it easy on yourself. As the old saying goes: “Walk slowly and you’ll go far.” When we leave urgency behind, life and time take on new meaning. Don’t try to figure everything out, sleep on the questions you still have no answers to.  2. Surround yourself with good friends. Friends are the best medicine. Recognize your “level one” friends and give them the attention you deserve. They are there for confiding worries over a good chat, sharing stories that brighten your day, getting advice, having fun, dreaming… and in other words, living. Also, ensure to hug your loved ones regularly. 3. Stay active; don’t retire. Those who give up on the things they love doing and do well lose their purpose in life. That’s why it is important to keep doing things of value, making progress, bringing beauty or utility to others, helping out, and shaping the ...

Work Environment

After working in an organisation for quite a long time, employees may start noticing significant changes within the organization that may make them de very uncomfortable. They normally try to give their honest feedback, but sometimes no one may take that seriously. As a result, the organizational culture start slowly shifting from one that was very inspirational and motivational to one that breeds toxicity. Sensing that the organization did not value their work again, dedicated employees may start feeling very disengaged; and looking for a new job, losing all enthusiasm. According to Tim McClure, when passionate employees become quiet, it usually signals that the work environment has become very dysfunctional. As a matter of fact, people don’t lose their motivation and inspiration overnight; it’s always a combination of small and big things that creep into the organization slowly and consistently over time. So, when a leader has a team passionate, inspired, and motivated to help the or...
